Stepping Stones Orientation Weekend (Friday, May 15 - Monday, May 18, 2020)
The Stepping Stones Orientation Weekend is a critical team building and pre-summer bonding time. This weekend is a mandatory for all summer students, so please mark these dates now on your calendar. It's a great time to get to know each other and build the spirit for the summer. There will also be some important sessions and times to meet in departments, on this CAN'T MISS WEEKEND!

Summer Student Uniforms
The uniform will be a t-shirt or golf shirt with tan or black pants/shorts. MBC will provide the shirts, students must provide their own tan/black pants/shorts. 2 pairs of pants and shorts are recommended. Department specific footwear will be required -i.e.- CSA Approved Safety Shoes for Maintenance, non-slip closed toed footwear for food service.

Police Checks
All summer students age 18 years and over are required to present a current Criminal Record check from their local police department dated 2020 or 2019 (valid for 2 years from date of issue). MBC subscribes to BACKCHECK, and students over the age of 18 may choose to obtain their police check upon arrival at MBC. Hired staff under 18 years will be asked to sign a Disclosure Statement, in lieu of obtaining a formal Police Record Check.

An integral part of onsite living is the community that is formed while living together in Founders Hall or Treetops (MBC's student dormitories). All students are required to live in one of these places for the summer.

Males and females live on separate floors.

Spiritual Growth & Development
MBC should be a place where you grow in your knowledge and experience of God, and in serving and living with others. It is important to nurture your personal spiritual development. Here are some of the Spiritual growth activities that you will be involved in.

  • Staff Chapel
  • Small Group Bible Study
